Pumpkin Cutie Pie

When Kae was 11 months old I took her to a pumpkin patch. She had fun running around, riding a pony and jumping in her first bouncy house. She had just started walking (more like running) and found her way into a hay maze, she stopped long enough for me to snap this:

The next year we went again and I thought it was cute to take the same picture and she was happy to stand for a second and let me do it. Since then we have gone back every year and every year I get a picture. The last few years were painful, Kae wanted to run around and not sit in hay. This year was a pleasure. She sat with no issue and even came up with other shot ideas. This is either a sign that she is maturing or she knew that if she banged it out I would take her to Millions of Milkshakes which was nearby.

Either way I got some amazing shots (I only need one!) here are a few:

Loving the Haight

We spent last weekend in San Francisco, a city that means a lot to us. Dave proposed to me with the Golden Gate as a backdrop and we had our incredible wedding at a beautiful private club on Nob Hill.  Lots of happy memories there.

I was worried about going to a city the weekend of a major road closure (the Bay Bridge was closed).  Luckily it all worked out, traffic was non existent and we had a blast. We saw old friends, ate a ton and explored the city.

A few weeks before we left I got some amazing things from frankie & sue, a super cute LA brand that makes everything in the USA. One of the dresses just screamed photo shoot to me. The location was a no brainer. Dave drove us to Haight-Ashbury and let me and Kae do our thing. We were just finding our groove when my camera decided it was done for the day. While I am bummed we didn't get more, I'm happy with what we did get. Big thanks to my Live-in IT guy for figuring out what the problem was.

So we had a day off today with plans to have Kae's bestie over for a playdate/photoshoot.  Things changed when her bff was offered a TV role and had to get on a plane immediately. Another day in Hollywood! We decided to go ahead and shoot, this is what we got:
